‘Tales below the heels’ shows footwear heritage

Hyderabad: The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) Hyderabad on Friday inaugurated "Tales Below the Heels – India Design Language: Footwear Series" celebrating India’s deep-rooted footwear heritage and contemporary design innovation. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma formally opened the exhibition, praising the initiative as a vital bridge between India’s traditional craftsmanship and modern design thinking.

He urged young designers to draw inspiration from indigenous knowledge systems to fuel global innovation. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, attended as guest of Honor and lauded the FDDI and Pleach India Foundation for strengthening the synergy between culture, design education, and industry.
